Energy is Everything
By Guest Writer Lisa Salvatore
We all emit a unique frequency—like our own personal radio station. Some people sync with our vibe effortlessly, while others create static.
The good news is you can protect your energy like a fortress while still being open to the right people, places, and experiences.
Here’s how…
Learn to spot the leaks.
Imagine your energy as a bank account—every interaction, habit, and thought either deposits into or withdraws from it. The key is to identify where you’re losing energy unnecessarily and how to seal those leaks.
Notice which places, activities, or even thoughts leave you feeling exhausted vs. refreshed.
Ask yourself: Do I feel lighter or heavier after this interaction?
Pay attention to how your body reacts to certain individuals. Are you repelled or drawn in?
Limit time and conversations with energy-draining people.
Clean your digital and mental space.
Your environment holds energy—and just like your body, it needs regular cleansing. Ever notice how a messy room makes your mind feel cluttered? Same goes for your social and digital space.
Keep your home organized and intentional—it reflects your mind.
Burn sage, palo santo, or incense to clear stagnant energy.
Place black tourmaline or hematite near entryways for extra protection.
Unfollow negativity—yes, even that friend who posts daily complaints.
Mute, block, and filter your feed so it supports your mental space.
Be mindful of screen time—doomscrolling isn’t self-care.
Create an energetic shield.
Now that you’ve identified energy drains and cleaned up your space, it’s time to reinforce your energetic field so negativity bounces off instead of sticking.
Create visual shields. Imagine a golden or white light around you before entering stressful situations.
Before bed, visualize all the energy you absorbed washing away, leaving only what serves you.
Cleanse yourself. Take salt baths to wash away negativity and reset your energy.
Acknowledge and appreciate. Being thankful for what you have shifts your mindset and keeps your energy positive, even on tough days.
